Synthetroniq is an independent macOS app. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you download the app or interact with this website, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Email address — collected when you submit the download form on this website.
- Anonymous usage analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this website (e.g. which pages are visited, which links referred you here). This does not include your email address or any information you enter in the download form.
- Diagnostic/crash reports — when the macOS app encounters an error, it automatically sends a short technical report (what kind of error, an error message, and a stack trace) to help us fix bugs. This never includes your email address, any audio you search with, or any search query text — only technical details about the error itself. Each report is tagged with a random, anonymous identifier generated on your device that lets us tell whether an error is affecting one installation repeatedly or many different people; it is not linked to your email address, your identity, or anything else about you, and resets if you reinstall the app.
We do not sell or share your email address with any third party. Google Analytics operates under Google's own privacy policy; see their data processing terms for details on how they handle analytics data.
Why we collect it
- To deliver the download. Your email is associated with the download link so we can re-send it if needed. This is the primary and mandatory purpose.
- Product updates (optional) — only if you checked the opt-in box on the download form. We may occasionally email you about new features or major releases. You can opt out of this at any time by emailing privacy@synthetroniq.app.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your email address.
- We do not share it with any third party.
- We do not use it for advertising or profiling.
- We do not send unsolicited marketing email unless you explicitly opted in.
How long we keep it
We retain your email address for as long as the app is in active development. If you request deletion, we will remove it within 30 days.
Your rights
Under GDPR and equivalent laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@synthetroniq.app and we will respond within 30 days.
